Let’s discuss shampoo! Many other shampoo bars contain lye, but this poses a problem because it disrupts the hair’s pH balance, which is crucial for hair health. This imbalance can lead to issues like frizz and an itchy scalp. Our bars, on the other hand, use minimal ingredients. We begin by infusing tallow with horsetail, nettle, and rosemary, all of which are excellent for hair health due to their high mineral content. Next, we add coconut oil and castor oil to ensure the right moisture levels. Finally, we incorporate Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate and Cocamidopropyl Betaine, two gentle surfactants that create lather and effectively clean dirt and buildup from the scalp. We also add coconut milk for additional moisture, allantoin for protection and conditioning, and arrowroot for structure. Simply rub the shampoo into a lather with your hands, scrub your scalp and wet hair, and rinse thoroughly!
