Marrow bones, typically from beef shanks, are nutrient-rich bones containing healthy fats, collagen, and minerals, used for making rich broths, stocks, or roasted as a decadent appetizer served on toast or with tacos for a savory, rich flavor, while also providing essential nutrients like Omega-3s, promoting joint and immune health, and offering a great chew toy for dogs, though grass-fed sources offer superior nutritional quality.

Benefits & Nutrition
    • Nutrient-Dense: Rich in collagen, healthy fats (like Omega-3s), iron, zinc, glucosamine, and vitamins (A, B12, E, K).
    • Supports Health: May aid joint health, immune function, digestion, skin vitality, and wound repair.
    • Superior Quality: Grass-fed marrow offers higher levels of beneficial CLA and Omega-3s.
How to Use & Eat
For Broth/Stock:
Roast bones first, then simmer with vegetables and spices for a rich, flavorful base.
Roast at high heat (around 450°F) until marrow pulls from the bone; serve with salt on warm bread or tortillas with lime.
Serve raw as a treat for dental health and mental enrichment, or as part of a raw diet.

Taste & Texture
Rich & Savory: Described as juicy and deeply flavorful, often described as “umami”.
Texture: Creamy and buttery when cooked, perfect for soaking up flavors from bread or broth
